Here is a great course that is FUN and very informative! Have you ever thought about how your equipment works? This is a great specialty course to help answer those questions. Have you ever thought of becoming a dive professional? This course is for every diver! This is a course that is done over 2 nights of practical application that gets into hands-on interaction.

You wouldn't want to miss a dive due to minor issues with your scuba equipment. The PADI Equipment Specialist course teaches you to manage basic repairs and adjustments. You'll also learn more about how your gear works, making you more comfortable with it and better prepared to take care of your investment.

If you’re at least 10 years old and certified as a PADI (Junior) Scuba Diver or higher, you can enroll in the Equipment Specialist course.

This course also teaches you about routine care and maintenance procedures as well as scuba equipment storage recommendations. Your instructor will show you how to overcome some common equipment problems and offer equipment suggestions.

SPECIAL Cost for this class is $180, there is NO pre-studying for this course. You must pre-register for this course. This course will be taught at the dive shop OR you can take this class remotely on ZOOM with us those nights! EITHER which way works best for you.

This is our 18th Annual Dive In/Customer Appreciation Event
SEPTEMBER 19th 10:00-5:00


Want to come out and explore a local lake with us? This year our customer appreciation event will be a 1 DAY event (or more, your choice) at Cultus Lake, where we will have a fun underwater self-guided scavenger hunt beginning at 11:00 AM. Check out some of our local diving fun. This is a great way to hook up with some of the local divers and have some real fun in the process. YOU need to sign up for this FREE event and reserve your rental gear ahead of time on a first come first served basis. Gear rentals would need to be picked up FRIDAY AT NOON for this event. We will be closed on Saturday. This time of year, Cultus is nice and clear. The water temperature is very comfortable. Pack a picnic and join us for a fun-filled day! For those staying over, if you are interested in doing a potluck at 6:00PM, let us know. For those of you who are staying over, the potluck starts at 6 PM at the cabin. Let us know if you are joining us! We will be doing advanced open water dives and specialty training courses. Sign up before at the shop!

Please come into the shop to sign up, fill out forms and reserve any rental gear and tanks that would be needed. Rental equipment is on a first come first serve basis.

ONLY Rescue course offered this summer on weekends- SIGN up early to get your spot!

August 11, 15, 16

Looking to go past your Advanced Open Water Diver and gain more confidence and take it to the next level of diving? PADI Rescue course is the next step! This course is set up as an academic evening, exercise water training and open water scenarios. Class is taught also with Oxygen Provider required specialty. CPR must be current or need to take the Emergency First Response CPR course with us on August 9th. After completion of Rescue your next step is either to complete 50 dives and 5 PADI Specialties and become a Master Scuba Diver or to take it to the Professional Level and become a Divemaster. What path do you want to take? Come into the shop for the course materials and to sign up. Take your diving to the NEXT level! THIS course is an intense weekend and the last course like this for the season. We teach Oxygen Provider Specialty in conjunction as requirements for this course. So you earn a Specialty course along with your Rescue certification. This will be an academics and 2 days at the lake. COME in ASAP to sign up for this course and get your materials. Tuesday evening

This is a PADI specialty that we teach along with Rescue, but can be taken as a specialty course that counts toward your Master Scuba Diver. Come into the shop to sign up for this life saving course. We are also doing Emergency First Response CPR training with this course. Both of these courses are needed for Rescue Course. If you would like to take just one of these courses as you already have current CPR or would like to just take the EFR portion that is an option also. Are you looking to explore our beautiful area in colder temperatures, but dread putting on a cold wetsuit?

Take the Dry Suit Specialty Course at Central Oregon Diving! Learn how to dive in a dry suit, be able to rent a dry suit, and adventure to new places! This one day class is being held on Sunday, August 2nd. Space is limited, so come into the shop to sign up and get materials. We even have dry suits to rent if you don't own one! Cost for course is $300 and drysuit rental is $75. Class will be at Cultus Lake.

Do you want to learn to dive at elevations over 1000 Feet? Every dive here in Central Oregon is an Altitude Dive! This is a great course to learn about theoretical depths. Know how to dive at Altitude safely and be able to plan your dive and dive your plan. Full cost of specialty is $235. If you don't own your own equipment rental cost is $35 for the day. DO you have an Altitude Adventure dive and need to complete the course? Cost to complete is $145. You must register and sign up and get the course materials. Space is limited!
