Rescue Diver Course

What is the course? 
This course expands what you already know and shows you how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if they occur.  It is a “challenging’ and rewarding course.  The fun part about this course is rising to challenges presented  and being able to master them. 


What you learn?
Self rescue, recognizing and managing stress in other divers, emergency management and equipment, rescuing panicked divers, rescuing unresponsive divers.

What is required to complete the course?
Be 12 years or older, have a PADI Adventure Diver or PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or other qualifying certification from another organization), be trained and current for First Aid and CPR within the two previous years or certified in PADI Emergency First Response CPR and First Aid courses.  Be mentally ready and physically fit.

What equipment will I need?
A full set of dive gear including scuba tank.  Tanks are available to rent.

What is provided by the shop?
Sign up and receive your PADI Rescue Diver manual.  You will then have pool practice and lake sessions with your PADI Instructor.  Upon completion, your application for PADI Rescue Diver certification card will be submitted.

Looking to go past your Advanced Open Water Diver and gain more confidence and take it to the next level of diving? PADI Rescue course is the next step! This course is set up as an academic evening, exercise water training and open water scenarios. Class is taught also with Oxygen Provider required specialty. CPR must be current or need to take the Emergency First Response CPR course with us on August 11th. After completion of Rescue your next step is either to complete 50 dives and 5 PADI Specialties and become a Master Scuba Diver or to take it to the Professional Level and become a Divemaster. What path do you want to take? Come into the shop for the course materials and to sign up. Take your diving to the NEXT level! THIS course is an intense weekend and the last course like this for the season. We teach Oxygen Provider Specialty in conjunction as requirements for this course. So you earn a Specialty course along with your Rescue certification. This will be an academics and 2 days at the lake. COME in ASAP to sign up for this course and get your materials. Wednesday evening academics for Rescue, and Saturday morning head to the lake for exercise training and Sunday complete scenarios. Oxygen Provider Specialty and EFR course is on August 11th.
